Returns of surveys of state land, 1750-1787.

The returns of surveys were carried out pursuant to warrants from the governor's office and provide the following information: name of governor or lieutenant governor, for whom surveyed, county and location of land, survey data, date of survey, name of Surveyor General (volumes 2 and 3). Alphabetical indexes also give year, acreage, county, and name of governor. Volume 1: 1750-1773; Volume 2: 1764-1765 (copies of surveys found in Vol. 1); Volume 3: 1774-1787; Patentee index to Vol. 1.
